For many years, the United States Healthcare system was not as powerful as what it is now. Although, the federal government still needs to improve its quality and focus on its goals to have a disciplined implementation plan that takes full, thoughtful advantage of its new authorities and opportunities.

As a first step to an improved quality and controlled costs in health care system, the nation should start with a goal of improving the health of the population and the patients’ experience with much care together with lowering its costs and preventing it to rise as the years will pass by.

Aside from reducing or controlling costs and improving its quality, the federal government should also focus on improving care for patients who are suffering from multiple chronic conditions. Those of which includes coronary artery diseases, diabetes, asthma and more. According to the report, the nation should focus on them for they are more prone to have safety problems such as adverse drug interactions and medical mistakes.

The Commission states that these are just a few of the many steps required to reduce the national spending as well as to make the health care system more organized.
